Summer Camps 2026

Get ready for an exciting summer of theatre at Granbury Theatre Academy!

As in past years, we will offer three distinct camps for performers ages 5–18.

For our Kids Camp and Teen Camp, everyone who registers will be cast. Audition information for those camps will be available soon. Registration for all camps will open soon.

All summer camp productions will be performed onstage at the historic Granbury Opera House.

Madagascar JR

Ages: 8–12
Auditions: June 9
Callbacks: June 10
Casting: All students who audition will be cast

Camp Dates: July 6–17
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Performances: July 20–23

Cost:
$350 per student
$185 for additional siblings or family members

KIDS CAST will register for INDIVIDUAL AUDITION times Tuesday June 9th. 

Auditions will be Tuesday June 9th at 400 S Morgan St Suite 105 located behind Action Computers. Campers will register for individual audition times between 10am-3pm. Students will only need to be present for their individual audition slot on Tuesday. Please prepare 32 measures (45 to 90 seconds) of your favorite song with a recorded accompaniment, or acapella. 

KIDS CAST will return to the studio for CALLBACKS and DANCE AUDITIONS Wednesday June 10th 12pm-2pm. 

Callbacks will be Wednesday June 10th 12pm-2pm at the same location. Parts of the script will be provided for campers to read from. Everyone that registers and auditions will be cast.

Something Rotten! JR

Ages: 13–18
Auditions: June 9
Callbacks: June 10
Casting: All students who audition will be cast

Camp Dates: July 6–17
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1:00 PM–5:00 PM
Performances: July 17–19 and July 24–26

Cost:
$400 per student
$210 for additional siblings or family members

TEEN CAST will register for INDIVIDUAL AUDITION times Tuesday June 9th. 

Auditions will be Tuesday June 9th at 400 S Morgan St Suite 105 located behind Action Computers. Campers will register for individual audition times between 4pm-9pm. Students will only need to be present for their individual audition slot on Tuesday. Please prepare 32 measures (45 to 90 seconds) of a music theater song in the style of the show with pre recorded accompaniment. 

TEEN CAST will return to the studio for CALLBACKS and DANCE AUDITIONS Wednesday June 10th 4pm-7pm. 

Callbacks will be Wednesday June 10th 4pm-7pm at the same location. Parts of the script will be provided for campers to read from. Everyone that registers and auditions will be cast.

Littles Camp

Ages: 5–7
Auditions: None required

Students in Littles Camp will perform a cabaret-style showcase featuring songs from Madagascar Jr.

Camp Dates: July 20–24
Performance: July 25
